A lawsuit filed against the Virginia Lottery claiming that lottery outlets are not accessible by wheelchair has reached the state’s Supreme Court, according to the Richmond-Times Dispatch.

The four plaintiffs pointed out 16 Virginian retailers in the original lawsuit that allegedly lacked the proper access for handicapped individuals to buy lottery tickets, the newspaper said.

“It's kind of bothersome that the state of Virginia would do business with businesses that are not accessible to individuals with disabilities,” Karen Michaelski-Karney, executive director of the Blue Ridge Independent Living Center in Roanoke, told the newspaper.
