ATEI Returns to Earls Court Ground Floor in 2010

The 66th annual Amusement Trades Exhibition International, or ATEI, will move back down to the ground floor of Earls Court 1 in January 2010, show organizers Clarion Gaming has confirmed.

The 66th annual Amusement Trades Exhibition International, or ATEI, will move back down to the ground floor of Earls Court 1 in January 2010, show organizers Clarion Gaming has confirmed.

Taking place directly alongside sister show -- the International Gaming Expo, or IGE -- ATEI will retain its own internationally renowned identity and dedicated entry point through the front of Earls Court, according to Clarion, as well as be supported by an extensive global marketing campaign.

The move follows news that Clarion has secured an option to stage a standalone amusements show at the nearby Olympia venue in 2011, pending further liaison with ATEI exhibitors.

The coin-operated amusements focused ATEI, which takes place on 26-28 January 2010, will occupy the right-hand side of Earls Court 1, with the soft gaming, remote gaming, lotteries and betting components of the International Gaming Expo occupying the left and central areas of Earls Court 1 and the whole of Earls Court 2.

Clarion said it has been consulting with its stakeholders for a sustained period, with a majority of protagonists voicing their desire for a return to the ground floor layout in preference to remaining on Level 2 of Earls Court 1.

"The ATEI brand has benefited from millions of pounds of investment across seven decades and we are determined to continue building on its global success by listening to our stakeholders and responding to their requests," said Emma Green, Clarion's show director, in a company statement.

"We will carry on exploring further opportunities to make ATEI the first choice coin-op amusements show for the U.K., Europe and the world," she added.
